جعل الإسلام رعاية اليتيم من الأعمال العظيمة التي تعكس رحمة القلب وصدق الإيمان. فاليتيم قد يفقد أباه في مرحلة يحتاج فيها إلى الحماية والتوجيه والحنان، ولذلك جاءت تعاليم الإسلام لتؤكد ضرورة حفظ حقوقه، وصيانة كرامته، وحمايته من الظلم والاستغلال.
ولا تقتصر رعاية اليتيم على تقديم الطعام والملابس، بل تشمل الاهتمام بتعليمه، واحترام مشاعره، وحفظ ماله، ومساعدته على بناء مستقبل آمن وكريم.

Islam regards caring for orphans as a noble act that reflects compassion and sincere faith. A child who loses their father may need protection, guidance, and affection, which is why Islamic teachings emphasize safeguarding orphans' rights, preserving their dignity, and protecting them from injustice and exploitation.
Caring for an orphan goes beyond providing food and clothing. It also includes supporting their education, respecting their feelings, protecting their property, and helping them build a safe and dignified future.
أولاً: وصية القرآن الكريم باليتيم | The Qur'an's Guidance on Caring for Orphans

أوصى الله تعالى بالإحسان إلى اليتيم في آيات كثيرة من القرآن الكريم، فقال سبحانه:
﴿فَأَمَّا الْيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقْهَرْ﴾
[سورة الضحى: 9]
تعلّمنا هذه الآية أن اليتيم لا ينبغي أن يُهان أو يُظلم أو يُعامل بقسوة، بل يجب أن تُصان كرامته وأن يجد من يعامله بالرحمة والاحترام.
وقال الله تعالى أيضاً:
﴿وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا مَالَ الْيَتِيمِ إِلَّا بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ حَتَّىٰ يَبْلُغَ أَشُدَّهُ﴾
[سورة الأنعام: 152]
تؤكد هذه الآية أهمية حماية مال اليتيم، وعدم التصرف فيه إلا بما يحقق مصلحته، مع المحافظة على حقوقه حتى يبلغ سن الرشد.

Allah commands believers to treat orphans with dignity and compassion. The Qur'an states:
“So as for the orphan, do not oppress him.”
(Qur'an 93:9)
This verse teaches us never to humiliate, mistreat, or oppress an orphan. Every child deserves respect, kindness, and protection.
Allah also says:
“And do not approach the property of an orphan except in the best manner until he reaches maturity.”
(Qur'an 6:152)
This verse emphasizes the responsibility to protect an orphan's property and manage it only in ways that serve the child's best interests until they reach maturity.
ثانياً: فضل كفالة اليتيم | The Virtue of Sponsoring an Orphan

حثّ النبي محمد ﷺ على كفالة اليتيم، وبيّن عظيم أجرها، فقال:
«أَنَا وَكَافِلُ الْيَتِيمِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ هَكَذَا»، وأشار بالسبابة والوسطى، وفرّج بينهما شيئاً.
رواه البخاري.
يدل هذا الحديث على المنزلة العظيمة التي ينالها من يتولى رعاية اليتيم والقيام بشؤونه. وتشمل الكفالة المساهمة في احتياجاته الأساسية وتعليمه وعلاجه، مع حفظ كرامته وعدم إشعاره بالمنّة أو النقص.
ولا يشترط أن تكون المساعدة كبيرة حتى يكون لها أثر؛ فقد تسهم مساعدة صادقة في تخفيف معاناة طفل وفتح أبواب الأمل أمامه.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ encouraged sponsoring orphans and explained its great reward. He said:
“I and the one who sponsors an orphan will be in Paradise like these two.”
He then gestured with his index and middle fingers, keeping a slight space between them.

This hadith highlights the great virtue of caring for an orphan. Sponsorship may include supporting the child's essential needs, education, and healthcare while preserving their dignity and never making them feel inferior or indebted.
Even a modest act of sincere assistance can ease a child's difficulties and help open the door to a more hopeful future.
ثالثاً: حفظ كرامة اليتيم وحقوقه | Preserving an Orphan's Dignity and Rights

من واجب المجتمع أن يتعامل مع اليتيم باعتباره إنساناً له حقوق ومشاعر وطموحات، لا أن ينظر إليه بعين الشفقة التي تجرح كرامته.
ومن صور العناية الحقيقية باليتيم:
توفير بيئة آمنة يشعر فيها بالمحبة والانتماء.
مساعدته على مواصلة دراسته وتطوير قدراته.
حمايته من الاستغلال، وخاصة فيما يتعلق بماله وحقوقه.
الاستماع إليه واحترام مشاعره وعدم تذكيره بفقد أبيه لإحزانه.
تعليمه وتشجيعه على الاعتماد على النفس وبناء مستقبله.

Society should recognize that orphans have their own rights, feelings, and ambitions. They should not be treated with pity in ways that undermine their dignity.
Meaningful care includes:
Providing a safe environment where they feel loved and accepted.
Helping them continue their education and develop their abilities.
Protecting them from exploitation, especially regarding their property and legal rights.
Listening to them and respecting their feelings without unnecessarily reminding them of their loss.
Encouraging them to become independent and build a promising future.
رابعاً: كيف نساهم في رعاية الأيتام؟ | How Can We Help Orphans?

يمكن لكل شخص أن يساهم في رعاية الأيتام بحسب استطاعته. فمن لم يتمكن من الكفالة المالية، يستطيع أن يشارك في جمع التبرعات الموثوقة، أو يقدم الدعم التعليمي، أو يساعد في توفير الاحتياجات الأساسية، أو يشارك في المبادرات المجتمعية التي تحفظ للأطفال حقوقهم.
ومن المهم التأكد من موثوقية الجهات التي تستقبل التبرعات، وأن تصل المساعدات إلى مستحقيها، مع احترام خصوصية الأطفال وعدم استغلال صورهم أو قصصهم لجذب الانتباه.
إن رعاية اليتيم مسؤولية إنسانية واجتماعية، وهي فرصة لنشر الرحمة والتكافل وبناء مجتمع أكثر عدلاً.

Those who cannot provide financial sponsorship may support trustworthy charitable initiatives, offer educational assistance, help provide essential supplies, or participate in community programs that protect children's rights.
It is important to verify the credibility of charitable organizations and ensure that assistance reaches those who need it. Children's privacy should also be respected, and their photographs or personal stories should never be exploited to attract attention.
Caring for orphans is both a humanitarian and social responsibility. It offers an opportunity to spread compassion, strengthen solidarity, and build a fairer society.
خاتمة | Conclusion

إن اليتيم لا يحتاج إلى المساعدة المادية وحدها، بل يحتاج أيضاً إلى من يحترم كرامته، ويستمع إليه، ويمنحه الشعور بالأمان والأمل. وقد جعل الإسلام الإحسان إلى اليتيم وحماية حقوقه من القيم التي تسمو بالمجتمع وتدل على الرحمة والعدل.
فلنجعل من رعاية الأيتام عملاً صادقاً ومستداماً، نحفظ به حقوقهم ونساعدهم على بناء مستقبل أفضل.
نسأل الله تعالى أن يحفظ أطفال المسلمين، وأن يجبر قلوب الأيتام، ويرزقهم من يرعاهم ويحسن إليهم، وأن يجعلنا من أهل الرحمة والإحسان.
